QUEEN OF THE WORLD

 

We all sometimes think about if we could make the rules.  If the decision was only mine, I’d do it like this.   Obviously, when we are having these sorts of thought we are feeling frustrated about something. And you have solution that will solve the problem–in the real world. 

 

Oh, but not me!! I’ve taken this to a whole other level.  I like to think these ruminations as a creative exercise as opposed to just being my quirky self.  Yet, it did begin from the silly part of my brain. And, by-the-way, I would be the Queen of Hearts, not the mean one that Alice had to deal with, but a queen with a good heart! 

 

  So me.  Straight up and upside down at the same time!!

 

Okay, so if I were queen of the world, leaves would never fall into swimming pools.  And ivy poison would leave a sweet smell on your skin instead of a red, itchy rash.  When feeling lonely for a friend or family member you haven’t seen in a while, you could make them appear, perhaps just long enough to enjoy a meal together!  Kids could be loud, noisy and silly and no adult would find it bothersome.  Tea would be ready for me when I wake up in the morning and the tea fairy would deliver it to my bed.  I could shrink time when I doing a chore and stretch it as long as I need when I painting or having fun!

 

So, you wonder, why am I telling you this?  I believe that if you get some sense of who I am as a person, you’ll understand and enjoy my artwork at a different level.  Because what you see in those paintings is me!
